New Year New Ideas

Posted by Luise Langheinrich on 11th Jan 2023

We all are facing higher costs for everything these days, so we started thinking about what we could do to help you in some little way.  This idea popped into our heads:  how to stretch your wardrobe dollars.  Looking through the racks we chose 1 item, which you may already have in your closet, and created 5 different outfits.  The outfits vary from classic to artsy, from work to casual.  Below are the pictures of what we created from 2 items, 5 different looks for each, so a total of 10 outfits.  We will be doing more of these 5 outfit sets and posting them on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

We had a lot of fun creating these outfits; trying to pull together work outfits, totally out of the box color combos.  We hope you find some ideas to try and have some fun also.  As always, if you have questions or comments please let us know!  Here we go...

First set, start with the Tobacco Sweater by M Made in Italy, a soft comfy sweater:

1) Create a tailored look with a Necessitees mock-neck underneath, NYDJ black jeans, Foxcroft's reversible cardigan, Co-lab bag.

2) Play with textures.  Pair Made in Italy's satin pussy bow blouse with the Kleen's oversized cotton shirt jacket, NYDJ sage jeans, and a scarf to tie it all together.  Fun!

3)  Casual look for running around:  layer the sweater with Made in Italy's flowy shirt worn open, pair with Carreli's faux suede pants, Strive lace-ups, top with a hat.

4) Go classic with Foxcroft's white button down, black NYDJ jeans, Co-lab bag.  Simple and neat.

5) Bring in a skirt!  Keep warm with Sisters funnel neck light sweater underneath, Mata Trader's pull on skirt, top it all with FDJ's denim jacket and black patent clogs from La Plume.

Second set of 5 outfits:  start with Papillon's navy/pink sweater...

1) Play up the pink in a soft fine wale corduroy shirt from Foxcroft, pair with your favorite jeans (these are NYDJ).

2) Another classic button down from Foxcroft, this time in pale lilac. Tie it all together with a colorful scarf by Echo.

3)  Who's afraid of color?  Not us!  Pair the sweater with Carreli's burnt orange jeans, Strive's lace ups, and blend it all together with a colorful scarf incorporating those colors.

4) Perfect for the office:  Foxcroft's white button down and Lines of Designs straight skirt.  Getting dressed in the morning is a breeze.

5)  Go soft yet warm with Bolide's turtle neck sweater underneath, NYDJ soft pink jeans, and a bag from Co-lab.
